Sierra Trading Post  Online running and accessory store.  Items available at discounted prices due to closeouts, overstocks, or minor blemishes/irregularities.

Running Routes

usatf.org/routes   Official website for the USA Track & Field.  The routes section allows you to search for routes in your community.  It provides distance and route information provided by satellite.  After creating a route on the site, you have the option to save it for others to see. 

Local Running & Walking Events

Active.com  Provides information about individual (i.e. running, walking, etc.) and team (i.e. basketball, baseball) sports.  Includes both local and national events.  Use their online registration service for races.

Tidewater Striders  One of the largest running clubs in the country.  In addition to promoting physical fitness, Tidewater Striders presents over 50 events a year including Elizabeth River Run and the Komen Tidewater Race for the Cure.

Shamrock Marathon  The Shamrock Sports Fest is held every March.  Races include 8K, 1/2 Marathon, Marathon, and a children's run.

Virginia Beach Rock-n-Roll Half Marathon  The Virginia Beach Rock-n-Roll Half Marathon is held over Labor Day weekend and is one of a series of Rock-n-Roll races across the country.

Race For Fitness, Together We Can  MENTOR 5K is brought to you by COMTO HR.  The Race For Fitness is held September 19th @ Mount Trashmore in Virginia Beach.  The race benefits foster youth in their transition into adulthood through mentoring and professional development.
